First, Matthew, I love the comparison to a “Rocky & Bullwinkle” short 😀
I love fractured fairy tales and it makes me look forward to this book even more. The way you ended up as collaborators is very cool It reminds of when you write from a “picture” prompt rather than from words.I love that you were shooting for “classic/vintage” picture book feel, Greg. And, Kelly, the voice of it sounds SO appealing. I can’t help but be curious about what “teepeeing” a castle is! 😀 The “taking candy from baby unicorns” is hilarious, and REVENGE OF THE BABY UNICORNS?! Lol
The background on the cross-stitching adds so much to the appreciation of the cover 🙂 I am always blown away by all the “secret” details you include when you construct books!
Kelly, the fortune cookie idea is just fantastic and I can’t wait to get a hold of EVERYONE LOVES CUPCAKE, too!
Greg, you know I can’t buy ALL your books at once, so now I have to try to decide between THREE of your books (I have a few already, of course 🙂 ) when I see you in Princeton. How will I EVER do this? 😉
And, Greg, I (and I’m sure everyone else on the planet) totally agree that Matthew has amazing “dead on” perception. He gets to the core and sees the stories so clearly!
Thanks so much, everyone, for SUCH an enjoyable podcast 😀 Hugs all around!
