Comments
Matthew and Blake — Congratulations on your new venture! A couple of comments — I found the music at the beginning and end somewhat jarring and louder than the reviews — it seems out of tone with the rest. Listening on my computer, I also felt frustrated that I couldn’t see the illustrations you were commenting on — any chance you could add video or stills of interiors on the website to accompany to your podcasts? I agree “In a Village by the Sea” by Muon Van; illustrated by April Chu is extraordinary! April Chu is also the illustrator of Laurie Wallmark’s new picture book biography: “Ada Byron Lovelace and the Thinking Machine” (Ada is considered by many to be the world’s first computer programmer) The author is a NJSCBWI member. Finally — What are your criteria for choosing which books you will be reviewing? (Noticed that 3 of the books were from the same publisher.)
